    NHL - Preview 26 Ottobre

    Preview: Calgary at NY Islanders
When: 7:00 PM ET, Monday, October 26, 2015
Where: Barclays Center, Brooklyn, New York
The New York Islanders attempt to bounce back from their first regulation loss at their new home when they host the Calgary Flames on Monday. New York began its stay at Barclays Center with a 3-0-1 record before suffering a 5-3 setback against Boston on Friday.
The Islanders regrouped quickly, however, as they pulled out a 3-2 overtime victory in St. Louis the following night after squandering a two-goal lead in the third period. Calgary hopes it can answer the bell just as rapidly, as it visits Brooklyn 24 hours after dropping a 4-1 decision to the New York Rangers in the opener of its three-game road trip. The Flames attempt to get their offense going as they have yet to score more than three goals in a contest this season. The Islanders won both meetings with Calgary last season, posting a pair of 2-1 triumphs.
TV: 7 p.m. ET, SNET-West (Calgary), MSG Plus (New York)
ABOUT THE FLAMES (2-6-0): Johnny Gaudreau, a finalist for the Calder Trophy last season, has recorded just one goal in his first eight games but is tied for the league lead with nine assists. Center Derek Grant, who was recalled from the American Hockey League a day earlier, went 5-for-9 on faceoffs and posted a minus-1 rating in 10:38 of ice time in his season debut Sunday. Joni Ortio also made his season debut versus the Rangers, turning aside all five shots he faced over almost eight minutes in relief of Jonas Hiller.
ABOUT THE ISLANDERS (5-2-1): After missing out on the Art Ross Trophy by one point last season, John Tavares is making an early charge for the award this campaign. The captain scored a goal in the win over the Blues on Saturday to extend his point streak to six games and has been kept off the scoresheet just once in his eight contests. Tavares has enjoyed facing Calgary in his career, registering five goals and four assists in six contests.
    OVERTIME
    1. The Islanders are 18-for-18 on the penalty kill over their last five contests.
    2. Calgary has trailed after two periods in seven of its eight games this season.
    3. Tavares is five goals away from tying Billy Harris (184) for 11th place on the franchise's all-time list.

    Preview: Arizona at Toronto
When: 7:30 PM ET, Monday, October 26, 2015
Where: Air Canada Centre, Toronto, Ontario
Max Domi looks to continue his impressive rookie season in a place where his father played the majority of his 1,020 NHL games as the Arizona Coyotes visit the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday. Tie Domi appeared in 777 contests with the Maple Leafs and recorded a career-high 29 points in 2002-03 while Max, a first-round pick in 2013, has posted nine in his first eight NHL games.
“I play hard, and he played hard too,” Max Domi told the New York Times of his father, who finished with 3,515 penalty minutes – third in NHL history. The younger Domi notched an assist to support Mikkel Boedker’s hat trick in a 4-1 victory at Ottawa on Saturday as the Coyotes evened their record at 1-1-1 on their five-game road trip. Arizona will have to come to play against Toronto, which has won just once in seven games but registered a season-high 52 shots against unbeaten Montreal on Saturday in a 5-3 loss. Leo Komarov leads the Maple Leafs with four goals in the early going.
TV: 7:30 p.m. ET, FSN Arizona, TSN4, TVA (Toronto)
ABOUT THE COYOTES (4-3-1): As good as Max Domi has been in the first month of the season, fellow rookie Anthony Duclair is turning heads with five goals and two assists. The two youngsters have played a lot of minutes with center Martin Hanzal, who has been solid with a league-leading nine assists after struggling with injuries in 2014-15. After Anders Lindback beat Ottawa in his first start with the Coyotes on Saturday, Mike Smith (5-1-2 lifetime versus Toronto) is expected to start as he has posted a .927 save percentage in the first seven games.
ABOUT THE MAPLE LEAFS (1-4-2): Captain Dion Phaneuf shares the team lead with Komarov at five points, and the 30-year-old defenseman owns a plus-5 rating after matching his career worst of minus-11 last season. James van Riemsdyk recorded a goal and an assist Saturday to double his point production for the campaign. Considering Jonathan Bernier allowed five goals on 27 shots against Montreal in the last contest, James Reimer could get the start versus Arizona.
    OVERTIME
    1. Arizona C Antoine Vermette (lower body) saw his streak of 482 consecutive games end Saturday and is considered day-to-day.
    2. The Maple Leafs sat in the bottom six of the league on both the power play (9.5 percent) and penalty kill (75 percent) through Saturday.
    3. The Coyotes won both meetings with Toronto last season as Smith stopped 52-of-55 shots.

    Preview: Anaheim at Chicago
When: 8:30 PM ET, Monday, October 26, 2015
    Where: United Center, Chicago, Illinois
The Anaheim Ducks have yet to find the form that got them within one victory of the 2015 Stanley Cup Final, managing only one win and six goals in the first seven games of the season. It doesn’t get any easier for the Ducks as they visit the reigning champion Chicago Blackhawks on Monday in a rematch of the Western Conference final.
“Every time we take a couple strides forward, we give up a goal or something,” Anaheim captain Ryan Getzlaf told reporters after a 3-0 loss at Minnesota on Saturday. “It’s the way things are going right now. We got to stick it out, start getting things going our way.” Getzlaf and fellow standouts Corey Perry and Ryan Kesler have not scored a goal thus far this campaign. The Ducks won’t have to face Conn Smythe Trophy winner Duncan Keith, who is out 4-6 weeks after knee surgery, but Chicago has won both games without the two-time Norris Trophy recipient. Captain Jonathan Toews scored his first goal of the season Saturday to beat Tampa Bay 1-0 in overtime.
TV: 8:30 p.m. ET, NHLN, RSN, Prime Ticket, FSN San Diego (Anaheim), CSN Chicago
ABOUT THE DUCKS (1-5-1): Speedy forward Carl Hagelin, who was acquired from the New York Rangers in the offseason, has just one assist while Jakob Silfverberg and Chris Stewart have yet to post a point in the early going. “When you do have chances and you don’t score, it’s even magnified more,” coach Bruce Boudreau told reporters. “. … You’re holding the stick so tight and you can’t make plays.” Josh Manson (upper body) was placed on injured reserve, joining fellow defenseman Simon Despres (upper body).
ABOUT THE BLACKHAWKS (5-3-0): Patrick Kane leads the team with 11 points and has recorded two goals and three assists during his three-game point streak, while 23-year-old Artemi Panarin has collected eight points in his first eight NHL games. Trevor van Riemsdyk logged a career-high 22:53 of ice time Saturday and 6-8 rookie Viktor Svedberg (19:25) also hit a season high while picking up some of the slack with Keith out. Power frward Bryan Bickell has gone six games without a point and was a healthy scratch the last two contests.
    OVERTIME
    1. The Ducks finished 28th on the power play despite winning the Pacific Division last season and is last (5.3 percent) with the man advantage in 2015-16.
    2. Chicago G Corey Crawford has allowed a total of three goals in winning the last three games and is 9-4-1 lifetime versus the Ducks.
    3. Anaheim D Hampus Lindholm is one of three players leading the team with two points and owns a minus-2 rating while logging a team-high 23:30 of ice time per game.
